(1) A person shall not assault or threaten with violence or intentionally hinder or obstruct a labour officer in the exercise of his or her duties.
(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
