(1) There shall be labour officers of the Department of Labour comprised of a Labour Commissioner, a Deputy Labour Commissioner, occupational safety and health officers, a law officer and such other labour officers as may be necessary for the efficient functioning of this Act.
(2) The Public Service Commission shall appoint such number of labour officers as may be necessary to carry out the duties of the department effectively.
(3) For the purposes of this Act “law officer” has the meaning given to it under the Legal Professions Act.
