337.   Objection to registration

  1.  

    (1)   Where the Registrar is satisfied that a trade union or employers' organization making an application is not entitled to be registered because it does not fulfill the requirements of this Division, he or she shall, within 21 days of the receipt of the application serve notice on the trade union or employers' organization , specifically indicating in the notice the reasons for the objections and giving to the applicant a reasonable period which shall not, in any case, exceed 6 months after the date of the notice for the purpose of complying with the requirements of the notice, and submitting the answers to the objections.

    (2)   If, after the receipt of the answers raised in the objections of the Registrar and after such further discussion as the Registrar may allow in respect of the matter, the Registrar is satisfied that the objections raised in subsection (1) have been satisfactorily met, he or she shall register and issue a certificate of registration in the prescribed form on the payment of the prescribed fee.

    (3)   Where the Registrar is not satisfied after such further discussion as the Registrar may allow in respect that the objections have been met, he or she shall reject the application.
