(1) An employer shall not deny to an officer or authorized representative of any trade union certified under this Division such access to the employer's premises as is reasonable and necessary for the lawful activities of the trade union.
(2) In granting the access under subsection (1), an employer may impose such restrictions as to time and place which are reasonable and necessary to avoid undue disruption of operations and in the interest of safety.
