(1) A person shall not recruit a person aged 16 years or under for employment to be performed outside of Saint Lucia.
(2) A person shall not recruit a person over the age of 16 years who has not attained the age of 18 years for employment to be performed outside of Saint Lucia except with the written consent of his or her parent or guardian.

(3) A person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.
