177.   Notice of discontinuance for work for young person

  1.  

    (1)   Where an authorized officer is of the opinion that the employment of any young person in an industrial establishment or in any particular process or kind of work in an industrial establishment is prejudicial to the health of the young person or to the health of other persons, he or she may serve notice in writing on the employer or person in control of the industrial establishment requiring that the employment of that young person in the industrial establishment or in the process or kind of work, as the case may be, be discontinued.

    (2)   The notice shall specify the time by which such employment has to be discontinued and such time shall not be more than 7 days from the date of the notice.
