320.   Production of work permit

  1.  

    (1)   Every work permit shall be kept by the person to whom it is issued, who shall at all times produce the permit to an authorized person or a police officer on demand, or within 3 days after such demand at such police station as may be specified by the person first mentioned at the time of the demand.

    (2)   A person having in his or her possession a work permit appearing to have been issued under this Division shall answer all questions put to him or her by an authorized person or a police officer for the purpose of establishing his or her identity.

    (3)   Any person who—

    1.  

      (a)     fails without reasonable excuse or refuses to produce a permit as required by subsection (1) of this section; or

    1.  

      (b)     refuses to answer any question put to him or her, contrary to subsection (2) of this section,

is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
