Where re-registration of the birth of a legitimated person is authorised by the Registrar of Civil Status, a parent of the legitimated person shall if required by the Registrar of Civil Status attend personally within such time as the Registrar of Civil Status may specify at the office of the registrar for the district in which is situated the place where the birth occurred.
