If a person is called upon to aid and assist a member of the Fire Service who, while in the execution of his or her duty is assaulted or resisted and that person refuses or neglects to aid and assist accordingly, he or she is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $150 or to imprisonment for a term of 3 months.
