A person is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term of 3 months who—
(a) knowingly uses or attempts to pass off any forged or false certificate, character letter or other document for the purpose of obtaining admission into the Fire Service; or
(b) on applying for enlistment, makes any false answer to any recruiting officer of the Fire Service.
