(1) Every member of the Fire Service shall be entitled to hospital treatment and medical, surgical, ophthalmic and dental attention at public expense subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.
However, no such regulation shall make provision for the deduction from the pay of a member of the Fire Service receiving any treatment under this section arising as a result of an injury received by him or her in the performance of his or her duty.
(2) If a member is incapacitated for duty by his or her own misconduct the Cabinet may order that he or she shall forfeit the whole or any part of his or her pay for the period during which he or she is so incapacitated.
