(1) The Chief Fire Officer acting after consultation with the Fire Service Association may, with the approval of the Governor General, make rules for the constitution and management of the Fire Service Association.
(2) The rules contained in Schedule 4 shall have effect as if made under the provisions of subsection (1) and may be amended or revoked by the Chief Fire Officer acting after consultation with the Fire Service Association and with the approval of the Cabinet.
