2. Interpretation
In these Regulations—
“Act” means the Fire Service Act;
“Government medical officer” means a registered medical practitioner who holds a post in the Government service or a registered medical practitioner to whom a subordinate officer or any other rank below that of a subordinate officer has been instructed by a divisional officer in charge of a Fire Station to present himself or herself for a medical examination;
“Public Service Board of Appeal” means the Public Service Board of Appeal constituted under section 95 of the Constitution;
“Standing Orders” means the standing orders for the Fire Service issued in writing by the Chief Fire Officer and applicable to the Fire Service as a whole.
