14.   Duty period, leave in lieu of duty or duty on public holidays

The Chief Fire Officer shall make provisions in the standing orders for the following matters in respect of every member of the Fire Service—

  1.  

    (a)     the normal daily period of duty including the period allowed for the partaking of refreshment;

  1.  

    (b)     the granting of leave in lieu of duty where a member remains on duty after the completion of the tour of duty or is called between the tours of duty;

  1.  

    (c)     the provision of the granting of leave on a public holiday where the exigencies of the Fire Service permits, and the granting of leave after the performance of duty on a public holiday as soon as the exigencies of duty so permit.
