11.   Personal Record

  1.  

    (1)   The Chief Fire Officer shall cause a personal record of every member of the Fire Service to be kept and every such record shall contain the following matters—

    1.  

      (a)     a personal description of the member;

    1.  

      (b)     particulars of his or her place, and date of birth;

    1.  

      (c)     particulars of his or her marriage (if any); and his or her children (if any);

    1.  

      (d)     a record of his or her service (if any); in the Civil Service, Police Force or any branch of Her Majesty's Forces;

    1.  

      (e)     a record of courses attended and the achievement (if any) gained in any such courses;

    1.  

      (f)     a record of the member in the Fire Service including particulars of all promotions, postings, transfers, injuries, period of illness commendations, reward, punishment other than caution and the date of his or her ceasing to be a member of the Fire Service with the reason, cause or manner for the cessation.

    (2)   A member of the Fire Service shall if he or she so request be entitled to be given his or her personal file for inspection and on the inspecting of the same he or she must do so in the presence of an officer authorised for this purpose and at the conclusion of the inspection return the file to such authorised officer for its return to the person in charge of the records.
