7.   Power to refuse documents

  1.  

    (1)   The Registrar may refuse to receive, file or register any document that in his or her opinion—

    1.  

      (a)     contains any matter contrary to law;

    1.  

      (b)     has not, by reason of any omission or error in description, been properly completed;

    1.  

      (c)     does not comply with the requirements of this Act;

    1.  

      (d)     contains any error, alteration or erasure;

    1.  

      (e)     is not legible; or

    1.  

      (f)     is not durable.

  1.  

    (2)   The Registrar may request in respect of a document refused under subsection (1)—

    1.  

      (a)     that it be amended or completed and resubmitted; or

    1.  

      (b)     that a new document be submitted in its place.
