(1) Where a certificate containing an error is issued to a society by the Registrar, the directors or members of the society shall, on the request of the Registrar—
(a) pass the resolutions and send to him or her the document required to comply with this Act; and
(b) take any other steps that he or she may require,
and the Registrar may demand the surrender of the certificate and issue a corrected certificate.
(2) A certificate corrected under subsection (1) must bear the date of the certificate it replaces.
