17. Power of commission to require amendment to rules
Where the Commission considers it necessary for the protection of investors, it may by notice in writing require the holder of a securities exchange licence to make or to amend or repeal any rule and, on the Commission specifying the amendments and the dates those amendments shall have force and effect, the securities exchange shall comply with the requirement as soon as practicable after receipt of the notice from the Commission.
