13.   Service of Notice

  1.  

    (1)   Any notice, order demand or other document made or given under this Act or any regulation made thereunder may be served either—

    1.  

      (a)     by delivering it to that person;

    1.  

      (b)     by delivering it or sending it in a prepaid letter addressed to that person at his or her usual or last known place of abode or business;

    1.  

      (c)     in the case of a corporate body or association of persons whether incorporated or not by delivering it to the Secretary or Clerk at their registered or principal office or by sending it in a prepaid letter addressed to him or her at that office; or

      (d)     in the case of a document to be served on the owner or occupier of any premises then to some adult on the premises and if there is no adult on the premises, to whom it can be delivered, by affixing a copy of it to some conspicuous part of the premises.

    (2)   In any notice, order, demand or other document made or given under this Act or by regulations made thereunder, wherein it shall be necessary to mention or to refer to the owner or occupier of premises it shall be sufficient to designate him or her as the “owner” or “occupier” of the premises (naming them) without further name or description.
