(1) Despite regulation 11(1) if a medical officer of health or an environmental health officer has reason to believe that any person employed in a bakery is suffering from any infectious or contagious disease he or she may require such person to submit to a medical examination by a medical officer of health who shall issue a certificate of health stating whether the person is fit or unfit to be employed in a bakery and if the person refuses to submit to such examination or if the certificate states that the person is unfit, the person shall immediately cease to work. (2) A person who has ceased work under the provisions of this regulation shall not resume work unless he or she has obtained a certificate of good health from a medical officer of health or Chief Medical Officer.
