17. Laying of information etc.

An information or a prosecution under this Act or the regulations made under it may be instituted by the Chief Medical Officer or with his or her consent by any other officer, or by an officer of a local authority in respect of any matter which is the subject of a delegation to such local authority as provided in this Act.
