20. Offence and penalty

(1) A person shall not —
1. (a) contravene these Regulations;
1. (b) fail to comply with a notice or direction issued or given under these Regulations; or
1. (c) hinder or obstruct an authorised person in carrying out his or her duties under these Regulations.

(2) A person who contravenes subregulation (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both fine and imprisonment.
