(1) The Corporation may, by notice in writing, require an owner or occupier of land or a building in the area of an approved scheme or a person receiving, whether for himself or herself or another, rent out of such land or building, to state to the Corporation—
(a) particulars of the interest or right by virtue of which he or she owns or occupies such land or building; or
(b) particulars of the interest or right by virtue of which he or she receives such rent; and
(c) the name, address and interest or right of every person who to his or her knowledge has an interest or right over or in respect of such land or building.
(2) Every person who is required under this section to state in writing any matter or thing to the Corporation and who—
(a) fails so to state any such matter or thing within the time appointed under subsection (1); or
(b) when so stating any such matter or thing, makes a statement in writing which is false or misleading in a material particular,
commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $1,000.
