ACQUISITION AND COMPENSATION

31. Acquisition of property by Corporation

(1) Where by this Act the Corporation is authorised to acquire land or buildings or any interest therein, such acquisition may, subject to this Act, be by way of gift, by private treaty or, subject to this section, may be compulsorily acquired in accordance with the Land Acquisition Act.

(2) Any land or building compulsorily acquired under the Land Acquisition Act for any of the purposes of this Act shall be deemed to have been acquired for a public purpose.

(3) For the purposes of an acquisition of a building for the purpose of this Act references in the Land Acquisition Act to land shall be construed as including references to buildings.
