341.   Rejection and disposal of dangerous goods by the ship

    (1)   The master or owner of any ship may refuse to take on board any package or parcel that he or she suspects might contain any dangerous goods and may require the package to be opened to ascertain the nature of the Package and its contents.

    (2)   When any dangerous goods, or any goods that, in the opinion of the master or owner of the ship, are dangerous goods, have been sent on board any ship without the marking or the written notice described in section 339, the master or owner of the ship may cause the goods, together with any package or container thereof, to be disposed of; and neither the master nor the owner of the ship is subject to civil or criminal liability in any Court in respect of such action.
