(1) Where it appears to the Administration that a licenced Boatmaster or Boat Engineer is unfit to discharge his or her duties, whether by reason of incompetence or misconduct or for any other reason, the Administration shall cause an inquiry to be held by one or more persons appointed by it and if the Administration does so, it may, suspend the licence, pending the outcome of the inquiry.
(2) A licence suspended under subsection (1) must be surrendered to the Administration within 7 days.
(3) Where the inquiry recommends the suspension or cancellation of the certificate it shall be cancelled, withheld or returned to the owner accordingly.
