309. Load Line Regulations
The Minister may make such regulations, hereinafter referred to as the “load line regulations” as appear to the Minister to be necessary for the purpose of giving effect to the Load Lines Convention, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, such regulations may also prescribe Load Line requirements and provide for the issue of local Load Line Certificates in respect of ships to which the Load Lines Convention does not apply.
