(1) The holder of a dealer's general licence to whom general licence plates have been assigned shall keep a Demonstration Book, and on every occasion on which such licence plate is used on a motor vehicle he shall make or cause to be made in the Demonstration Book an immediate entry of the following particulars —
(a) the date on which the motor vehicle was used;
(b) the licence plate;
(c) description of motor vehicle on which used;
(d) the name of the driver;
(e) time of departure from garage or port of entry;
(f) time of return to garage or port of entry; and
(g) purpose for which the motor vehicle is used.
(2) The Demonstration Book kept by the holder of a dealer's general licence shall be produced to the Licensing Authority or police officer for inspection within such time and at such place as the Authority or Police Officer determines.
(3) A motor vehicle under the authority of a dealer's general licence shall not be used for any purposes other than those specified in section 35 of the Act and shall not be used for private or trade purposes either by the dealer or any other person.
(4) The Demonstration Book is to be kept on the motor vehicle when it is being —
(a) transferred to the premises of the motor dealer; or
(b) test driven for the purpose of a sale.
