(1) The Licensing Authority may authorise, by temporary permit, the carrying of an indivisible load on a road by a motor vehicle or trailer, although such load causes the motor vehicle or trailer to exceed its maximum weight for which the vehicle is registered under this Act.
(2) The authorization under subsection (1) may be subject to any conditions that the Licensing Authority considers necessary, including the route to be used.
(3) The permit shall be in the approved form and shall specify the conditions subject to which it is issued.
