(1) The Minister, after consultation with the Commissioner, shall by Order published in the Gazette, set reasonable police detention fees for the purposes of this Part.
(2) The police detention fees are a charge on the motor vehicle or trailer in respect of which they are owed and a traffic officer is entitled to detain or immobilize a motor vehicle or trailer as security for payment of the police detention fees in respect of a motor vehicle or trailer.
