10.   Appointment of Mental Hospital

  1.  

    (1)   The Governor General may appoint the whole or any part of any building, hospital, house or place with any out-houses, yards, gardens, grounds, or premises thereto belonging to be a mental hospital.  Editor's note: By Gazette notice 434/1977, that part of St. Jude Hospital known as the Psychiatric Unit is appointed a mental hospital.

    (2)   In the case of any mental hospital, the Governor General may from time to time make, alter or revoke regulations as to its management, the admission of patients and the payments to be made in respect of them, the absence under observation or otherwise and discharge of patients, and as to such other matters as are necessary for the purposes of this Act.
