(1) A supplier shall not in the course of trade or commerce engage in conduct that is likely to mislead the public as to the nature, manufacturing process, characteristics, suitability for a purpose or quantity of the goods or service as the case may be.
(2) A supplier who contravenes this section commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
