(1) A person shall not violate any condition of a licence or permit issued under this Act.
(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both. (Substituted by Act 10 of 2006).
(3) If an offence is committed under this section, the registered owner of the motor vehicle or trailer is guilty of a like offence unless he or she establishes that the offence was committed without his or her knowledge or consent and that he or she exercised all due diligence to prevent its commission.
