184.   Interfering with detained or immobilized motor vehicle or trailer

  1.  

    (1)   A person commits an offence who, without the authority of a parking attendant, interferes in any way with a motor vehicle or trailer detained or immobilized under Part 9 or with a device used for the detention or immobilization of such motor vehicle or trailer.

    (2)   A person who commits an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months or to both.

    (3)   The Court convicting the person under this section may in addition order the person to pay for the cost of any damaged device used for the detention or immobilization of the motor vehicle or trailer.
