(1) The Licensing Authority may require the applicant to submit a report from an inspector certifying that —
(a) the inspector has examined the motor vehicle or trailer; and
(b) it is fit for the use for which registration is requested.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the Licensing Authority shall, by order published in the Gazette, designate qualified persons to be inspectors. (Amended by Act 10 of 2006)
