(1) A person required pursuant to these Regulations and the applicable Parts of the Schedule to preserve any document or record shall continue to preserve that document or record, and in the event of his or her death, the duty to preserve the document or record shall fall upon his or her designated representative.
(2) A person assigned under these Regulations and the applicable Parts to preserve any document or record shall continue to preserve that document or record until such time as the responsibility may be transferred to another assigned person.
