7. Local authority not less than seven members for urban districts, nor less than five for village or rural districts

A local authority constituted under this Act shall consist of such number of members in the case of an urban district not being less than 7 and in the case of a village or rural district not being less than 5 but in neither case exceeding 9 as shall in each case be determined by the Governor General.
