48. Refusal to produce weight etc., for inspection
Any person who refuses to produce a weight or measure or weighing or measuring instrument when required to do so by the Director, the Deputy Director or an inspector acting under section 36 or who resists or obstructs that person in the exercise of the powers conferred upon him or her by that section commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term of 6 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
