(1) The Minister shall, for the purposes of this Act, designate the Director of the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards to be or to act as the Director of Standards.
(2) An officer of the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards shall be designated by the Director of the Bureau to be or to act as the Deputy Director of Standards.
(3) The Deputy Director of Standards designated under subsection (2) may, subject to the general direction and control of the Director exercise, perform or discharge all or any of the powers, duties or functions, conferred or imposed on or assigned to the Director by or under this Act.
