Any person who sells or exposes for sale any weight or measure or weighing or measuring instrument which has not been stamped by an inspector with the prescribed mark of verification commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term of 6 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
