(1) The Attorney General may, in consultation with Cabinet, prescribe by order, fees, and allowances payable to:
(a) a medical practitioner;
(b) a person having special qualifications;
(c) a juror;
(d) a witness; or
(e) any other person,
for any services provided under this Act.
(2) Where an inquest is held with respect to the death of a person who died in any hospital, infirmary, prison or other institution, the medical practitioner whose duty it was to attend the deceased person as a medical officer of the hospital, infirmary, prison or other institution shall not be entitled to the fee or remuneration prescribed under subsection (1).
