(1) The coroner shall, as soon as practicable after the conclusion of an inquest, transmit or cause to be transmitted to the Registrar, for filing, the record of the proceedings and cause a copy to be transmitted to the Attorney General.
(2) In case of an inquest held under section 15 or 16, the coroner shall, as soon as practicable after the conclusion of an inquest, transmit or cause to be transmitted to the Director of Public Prosecution, the record of the proceedings.
