(1) The Judicial and Legal Services Commission may appoint as a coroner for Saint Lucia, any person having such qualifications as may qualify such person to be appointed as a magistrate.
(2) The Attorney General may in respect of each district, designate by order in the Gazette, any person in the judicial service who is a magistrate as a coroner or a deputy coroner for purposes of this Act.
