34.   Copies of documents

  1.  

    (1)   If a coroner is satisfied as to its authenticity, a copy of a document or other thing may be admitted as evidence at an inquest.

    (2)   If a document has been filed in evidence at an inquest, the coroner, or the person producing it or entitled to it, with the leave of the coroner, may cause the document to be photocopied.

    (3)   The coroner may authorise the photocopy made under subsection (2) to be filed in evidence in the place of the filed document and may release the filed document or supply to the person entitled to it a photocopy of the filed document certified by the coroner.
