TABLE OF COSTS RECOVERABLE AFTER DEFAULT IN PAYMENT OF RATES AND TAXES
Collection Fee
Upon payment after August of each rate or tax due as a judgment debt for being in arrear, a collection fee shall be payable according to the following scale:

Exceeding $4.80 | 12¢ for every $4.80 or part of $4.80 of the rate or tax in arrear |

Expenses of sale including expenses incurred with a view to sale such as guardianship or safe keeping, porterage, bell or otherwise which the Clerk of the Court determines to have been absolutely necessary in the circumstances.

The Bailiff is to be paid out of the Town or Village Fund such sum in respect of the taxes collected by him or her as Cabinet may approve.

Advertisement of sale - 96¢ in the Gazette and a like sum for advertisement in a newspaper, if any: Provided that the fee for the advertisement of the notice of an adjourned sale shall be 24¢, whether published in the Gazette or in a newspaper of Saint Lucia.

Any other expenses of sale including expenses incurred with a view to sale such as guardianship or safekeeping, bell or otherwise which the Sheriff (whose denomination shall be final) determines to have been absolutely necessary in the circumstances.

Percentage on proceeds of sale or resale as in ordinary civil cases.

NOTE-The fee of 48¢ for the Bailiff shall accrue to the general revenue and shall be paid in stamps affixed to some appropriate book or other office record. (Added by S.I. 22 of 1937)
Costs after Return

As in civil cases in the Supreme Court: Provided that the fee for advertising in the Gazette a notice to creditors (including its preparation) is to be 96¢ and a like sum for advertisement in a newspaper, if any.
