36. Human remains to be reduced to ashes

(1) Any human remains which are cremated must be reduced entirely to ashes by the licensee and disposed under section 37.

(2) A licensee who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 1 year.
