33. Restriction on cremation

(1) The cremation of any human remains shall not take place except in a crematorium or cremation pyre site licensed under this Act.

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 2 years.
