CREMATION

22. Restriction on crematorium or cremation pyre site

(1) A person shall not establish or operate a crematorium or a cremation pyre site unless the person holds a valid licence to do so under this Act.

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 2 years.
