10.   Licence to be produced or name and address given

It is lawful for any revenue officer or constable who has reason to suppose that any person is liable to take out any licence under this Act to demand and require from such person the production of such licence, and if such person does not within a reasonable time produce such licence or shall not permit such revenue officer or constable to read the same and take a copy thereof, it is lawful for such revenue officer or constable to require such person to declare immediately his or her full and true name and his or her place of residence, and if such person shall refuse or fail to declare his or her name and place of residence as aforesaid it is lawful for such revenue officer or constable to apprehend such person and take him or her to the nearest police station, and he or she is liable on summary conviction to a penalty not exceeding $24, and in default of payment to be imprisoned, with or without hard labour, for a period not exceeding 2 months.
