15. Penalty for not painting on cart the letter and number of the licence
Every person who takes out a licence under this Act in respect of a cart shall within 3 days thereafter have the letter and number of such licence painted in some conspicuous place at the right side of such cart and each such letter and number shall be legibly painted at least 2 inches in length in white on a dark ground. Every such person who does not have such letter and number painted as aforesaid on such cart is liable on summary conviction to a penalty not exceeding $9.60, and in default of payment to be imprisoned, with or without hard labour, for a period not exceeding one month.
